Situated at the heart of one of the Baltic’s key trading ports and paying homage to its art nouveau surroundings, ESPA Riga has an impressive fin de siècle exterior, originally created by well-known Latvian Architect Konstantins Peksens.
Spread over 6 impressive floors, ESPA worked with design squared to create the spa concept, the glorious heritage of the city is apparent throughout the spa and beautifully combines with contemporary décor and style to demonstrate a respect for the past, without compromising the ultimate in cutting-edge spa design. Entering ESPA Riga is like stepping into Riga’s ambitious future.
Recognised by Conde Nast Traveler UK in their 2010 Hot List as one of the world's best spas, the spa’s dedication to detail ensures that first impressions are both breathtaking and ever-lasting. The spiral staircase is a focal sculptural element, tiled in black Cristallino with a gold mosaic border and a sweeping glass balustrade. Suspended from the ceiling is a bespoke art feature “Morgen Tau” designed by Eva Menz, comprising of wire and crystals, each crystal having been carefully placed within the feature by hand. Illuminated by light, the staircase drops six stories like a cascade of ice, leading you to your very own, exclusive ESPA journey…
